“For over twenty years I’ve been familiar with this statue high atop the middle of Union Square in downtown San Francisco. At some point I was commissioned to create details of he surrounding area and found myself drawn to the statue through a long lens on the camera. It was afternoon and I was moving around from below looking for the right perspective. When I lined everything up with the sun I felt my soul smile. It was also recently in offering the image for sale here on the website that I actually discovered the name ‘The Goddess of Victory’ that made my soul smile even more.”
