”For years I lived in an apartment in San Francisco and basked in the cable cars passing directly outside our front door. Each driver with their signature ‘bell’ the sounds became as iconic as the cars themselves. Which is why I love this image so much. It sets the stage for my memory and imagination. The canvas, of sorts, for the cable car and her bells, approaching from beyond the hill and around the bend.”
