”For years the apartment I lived in was on one of the cable car lines in San Francisco so I was constantly able to enjoy the sights and sounds of these beloved icons moving along the tracks. I created this particular image during a commissioned project for a hotel near Union Square. It’s the very front of one of the cable cars that would travel near the hotel. I particularly love this shot b/c of the font of that ‘&’ as well as the way this detail embodies the larger nostalgia of the whole.”
