Mantra No. 5

from 1,080.00

I call these “mantras” and they feel like some of the most sacred things I’ve ever created.

Each starts as a piece of reclaimed wood. After starting as an old growth redwood tree. The writing is Tibetan, which I think is one of the most beautiful-looking human languages. The characters and shape are cut using focused water traveling faster than the speed of sound.

This No. 5 depicts the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra, described in the last image in the gallery.

The piece is numbered, initialized, and dated on the back. Each is hand-sanded and oiled while I recite the mantra. It comes ready to hang on the wall or can be ordered with a custom stand for a tabletop or altar.

Dimensions are 34" x 11" x 1.25".
