This series is titled '100-Watt' because each image is a portrait of a lightbulb. A single, everyday, unmoving, 100-watt lightbulb.
The movement is mine.
The camera was a brush.
Light became the pigment.
In the process I felt much more like Pollack than Adams. Each creation a one-of-a-kind original, seemingly impossible to duplicate.
The series itself began as a ‘mistake’ in a Japanese monastery which then evolved into the series that exists today. More images can also be seen in the Store. Please call for pricing as each piece of art is custom created.
